Office Reopening: Phase 3

What we are doing to keep patients and staff safe during Phase 3 of reopening.

Our office has now transitioned to Phase 3 of the Massachusetts COVID-19 Reopening Plan.

During Phase 3, we are able to perform both routine and medical eye care. We are maintaining part-time hours and still doing everything by appointment. We will be prioritizing patients with medical need who are overdue, which includes contact lens wearers, as well as those with significant vision changes and/or broken eyewear. Due to high demand, we ask for your patience during this time.

Face Masks Required

  • Per Executive Order of Governor Baker and office policy, face masks or cloth face coverings are required while you are inside this office and building.
  • If you are unable to wear a mask for medical reasons, please call the office at (978) 256-8501 and our staff will reschedule your appointment for the future.

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfecting Procedures

  • All patients will be required to disinfect their hands upon entering the office, as well as before frame selection, by using our conveniently provided disinfectant stations.
  • Our staff will be disinfecting high-touched surfaces frequently.
  • Frames will be selected by the optician and disinfected before and after each patient use.
  • Ultra-filtration air purifier has been installed in the examination room.

Limited Occupancy in Office

  • The office will be open to scheduled appointments for three days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) during phase two. This allows us to limit the amount of people coming in and out of the office as well as allowing for extra time for cleaning and disinfecting.
  • Appointments in phase two will be limited in frequency and length to allow for additional cleaning opportunities and to prevent contact with other patients.
  • We have removed our waiting area and only patients with scheduled appointments will be allowed in the office. Walk-in services will remain suspended.
  • We are no longer allowing family members to accompany patients into the office unless there is a medical need. Minors can be accompanied by one parent. We ask that family remain in your car or outside the building for the duration of your appointment. If this is not acceptable for you, please reschedule for a future appointment.
